Federal Registration Number (FRN)<\/strong><\/p>\n

To get an FCC issued FRN number, which is needed to take any FCC exam, you must register with the FCC.<\/p>\n

For instructions on how to register with the FCC and receive an FRN, visit the FCC’s Registration<\/strong><\/a> page and the FCC’s Registration instructions<\/strong><\/a> page. Go to https:\/\/www.fcc.gov\/rofrn<\/u> for a video on creating an FCC account and getting your FRN.<\/p>\n

New Customers of the FCC<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. In order to register for an FRN, customers are required to setup an FCC Username, please see instructions:\u00a0 Registering\/Creating a Username Account in CORES<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Once a username is set-up, customers need to log into CORES<\/a>, to Register for a New FRN<\/a>.\u00a0 This new FRN is automatically linked to your Username Account and you are the Administrator of the FRN.\u00a0 Use this FRN with your Username-password to log into ULS or any other FCC systems requiring an FRN and password login credentials.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Existing Customers of the FCC<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Customers that already have an FCC FRN still need to register a Username account to access CORES.\u00a0 Access to CORES is required to pay application fees.\u00a0 CORES allows customers to: Manage their FRNs; View Financial standing with the FCC; Retrieve and pay fees, such as ULS application fees; and annual regulatory fees. Please see instructions: Registering\/Creating a Username Account in CORES<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Once a username account is set-up and customers successfully log into CORES<\/a>, the next step for those that already have an FRN is to Associate an Existing FRN to a Username Account<\/a>.<\/li>\n
    3. Upon successfully associating an existing FRN to the Username Account, customers may login to ULS<\/a> using your FRN and Username Password to proceed to file an application, or login to CORES to continue with the Payment Process<\/a> for an application filed in ULS.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
